Yes, there are many good restaurants within the walking distance.
I'm not 100 percent sure but most hotels let kids 12 and under stay for free.
It's the heart of the Toronto city. The main events take place normally like new year celebrations etc. You will see a TORONTO sign there. There is a pool and seating area to relax. It's a refreshing place at the center of Toronto's Skyscrapers. There are mobile food trucks surrounding the area. Just come by and spend some time with someone or alone. I would definitely recommend this place.
The best thing I like is the view of buildings. On top of that I love to do ice skating in Nathan Phillips ring. Really nice place to hangout and enjoy the moment.
Nice place to hangout. There are some nice Hot Dog stalls as well. If you like ice skating then definitely do visit, they have a free Ice skating ring set up for people. Either bring skates or they have rental options as well.
There's always something to do here! While most other places to visit in Toronto are either paid or require RSVP, this is open to public for free. Christmas, New Year and other holidays are celebrated with fireworks and lights; Skating rink is free, plus several small events and markets make this place an easy to access anytime! And if you happen to be around, just sit down on on of the benches and relax to the view of the fountain.
Very cute place to go for a nice view and just go try something different if you don’t ice skate. The rental is $10 (cash only) for two hours, you can get a locker for 25 cents to put your shoes and belongings. There’s also a small snack stand where you can get food or even hot chocolate to warm up!
Home of Toronto's logo! I love the bridge over the square, as it allows you to see the whole space and even further around that area. The Toronto sign lives here, which is always lit up in some pretty way. It is an iconic part of Toronto, and depending on the season they offer food from vendors and activities such as skating. There is always something here, and suprisingly quiet at some points in the day.
Great public space. The winter market this year is a great addition. There are individual kiosks selling everything from greeting cards to socks to handcrafts. There food stalls with lots of choices, as well as rides for the kids. For those who are so inclined, there are plenty of insta opportunities. It gives a nice ambiance to those who choose to go for a skate.
Honestly, not a lot to do here when no events take place. It's a very popular tourist spot and the Toronto sign is here, which is nice. In the Winter, the center becomes a skating rink but it is usually very busy and can get dirty really quickly. A lot of events take place here so if you walk by in the Summer you might catch something going on.
Amazing place to visit in Toronto. If you have some time to spare then it's a must visit. The water fountain and the lights are amazing in the evening.
This photo was taken in April 11, 2018 In Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto Canada. This is a favourite tourists destination of people around the world. This place becomes a skating rink in winter time where people enjoy skating. At the background on the left, you will notice lovers taking the opportunity to have a kiss on this particular part of Toronto City wherein you will see the big TORONTO sign. They want their visit to this place a memorable one with a picture of course.Try to visit this place and have your kiss, maybe a first kiss done on this great city of Canada. Something to remember as part of your life.
Nathan Phillips Square is a popular destination for tourist all over the world visiting Toronto. The big TORONTO logo is located here. It is situated in downtown Toronto just beside Eaton Center. Queen subway station is just nearby. During winter it is also popular for ice skating.
I always walk through when in the big ole city of Tahranna. Always clean and one day I will make it to skate there.
This is an important Toronto landmark and a place where I bring family and friends when they visit the city. The food trucks around it sell the best hotdogs as well. I find them way better than the ones in NYC!
Great atmosphere, next to the giant Toronto sign. I went ice-skating and it was quite awesome to do it after all this time I haven't done so. Good view in the city hall building, just next to Eaton centre and Queens station. There's also lots of sitting areas with grass fields, could be nice in the summer. Definitely recommend to have a stroll around the area.
It was an awesome experience ice skating here. It was my first time attempting to ice skate. The buildings towering around me added to me excitement as they were beautiful and each building had it's own special feature. The atmosphere was so lively snd entertaining. I would recommend you visit here once you visit Toronto, Canada!

Great attraction to visit in Toronto. Skating in the winter and a fountain in the warmer months. Can become crowded as it is located in the downtown core. Famous “TORONTO†sign is located here.
It is an ideal public square for enjoying events or just relaxing while out for a walk. The square affords beautiful views of the famous Toronto City Hall and the illuminated colourful Toronto sign. In winter, rent skates and try out the outdoor rink. There is inexpensive fast food available at the on-site snack bar or food truck.
Love this place. Its in Heart of the Toronto City. Huge crowd all the time. Plethora of cuisine available nearby which can definitely pleases your taste buds. Ample parking space available near to this location. Number of shopping malls and stores available close to this point. Just 1km away from CN tower. Must Go and Enjoy
It’s a square. Not sure who Nathan Phillips is - must be a pretty cool guy. Winter is a good time to go, for the ice rink. You can rent skates if you don’t have them. Always a good way to prove you were in Toronto too, of course, with the big Toronto sign.
Great place in downtown. Square is surrounded by skyscrapers and old city hall building. Pretty big ice rink which is free, and there is a rental service, 5$ for kids and 10 for adults. Nice Toronto sign where you can take great pictures if you are a tourist. Delicious hot dog on the Queen street just for 2 and 3 dollars. This place has to be in your bucket list.
Beautiful place in Toronto. Always lots of events happening both in summer and winter. Kind of must visit place if you are visiting Toronto. It has become a tradition for us to visit here every year for ice skating around Christmas time. Very festive place with beautiful lights and ice rink!!
